My Story
Driven by Purpose, Guided by Expertise:
With over seven years of experience in the Crypto and Decentralized Finance markets, I have developed a deep vision and perspective towards the industry. My journey began in 2014 when I first heard about Bitcoin during a cybersecurity course. Although intrigued, I initially chose to pursue my hobbies of 3D puzzles and swimming. By 2016, witnessing the transformative impact of early crypto adoption on my family and myself, I decided to embark on a career in the cryptocurrency industry.
From Early Beginnings to Strategic Leadership:
In 2018, I encountered the term “product management” for the first time. After exploring various internships in asset management, marketing, design, and development, I concluded that product management was my true calling. It was a tough decision between asset management and product management, but I knew I made the right choice. In 2021, I launched Battle Astra, a decentralized infrastructure for the new creator economy. This venture successfully garnered investor commitments of $2M USD at a valuation between $13M to $16M across different funding rounds based on a future token agreement.
Navigating Entrepreneurial Challenges:
In 2022, I made the difficult decision to close Battle Astra and began the process of returning investor funds to maintain goodwill. During this period, I took on numerous freelance consulting gigs in the same field. The first half of 2023 saw me completing the process of returning investors’ principal and spending three months in Indonesia, consulting startups on web3, token economics, and user adoption for crypto launchpads, CEX, DEX, and futures trading. It was in Indonesia that I discovered freediving, rekindling my passion for swimming.
Embracing Office Life:
In the second half of 2023, I secured my first office job at VAI, a crypto-focused development company. Through significant mindset shifts and continuous learning, I fell in love with office life. By the first half of 2024, I had broken three national freediving records in India. My role at VAI allowed me to grow immensely on both personal and professional levels.
Why I Love Office Life:
Working in an office environment has its unique advantages. Collaborating with like-minded, ambitious people who inspire and push me to excel is incredibly fulfilling. The guidance and mentorship I receive are invaluable, helping me grow personally and professionally. Working with visionary CEOs to bring their visions to life has been an enriching experience. Moreover, learning how to work with diverse teams, manage egos, and navigate different personalities and cultures has been a significant and rewarding challenge.
